This privacy practice describes how Eloan ("Eloan", "We", "Our" or "Us"), a business of Banco Popular de Puerto Rico ("BPPR"), collects and uses the personal information you provide on Eloan’s web site: www.eloan.com. It also describes the choices available to you regarding Eloan’s use of your personal information and how you can access and update this information. Products and services are intended for U.S. Residents over 18 years of age.

Eloan may collect and use your personal information to respond to your requests for financial products and services offered on Eloan’s web site or to provide you with information about products or services that may be of value to you. Eloan uses this information for routine web site maintenance; to establish that you are a unique user and/or for purposes of assessing the effectiveness of the Eloan web site and the products and services offered.
Eloan uses third party advertising companies to provide advertisements on the Eloan website.
DOES ELOAN SHARE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH THIRD PARTIES?
Eloan may share your personal information with third parties in the following events.

Example: Eloan may need to share your information with law enforcement or government agencies in response to a subpoena, state/federal audit or other similar circumstances.
- With companies that perform services on our behalf (Joint marketing).
Example: Eloan sometimes uses service providers to assist it with specific processes or functions such as distributing emails or collecting survey information from Eloan customers. Eloan requires the service providers it uses to sign business agreements that restrict their use of your information to fulfilling the contracted service. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us and for no other purposes.
CAN I OPT-OUT OF COMMUNICATIONS FROM ELOAN?
Eloan always provides you with the opportunity to opt-out of electronic communications that offer our products and services. You can opt-out of marketing communications at any time by completing the applicable section(s). However, please be aware that Eloan also sends service related email announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email. You do not have an option to opt out of these emails, which are not promotional in nature.
HOW DOES ELOAN SAFEGUARD MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Eloan follows generally accepted industry standards to protect any personal information, including non-public personal information (such as Social Security Number, ABA Routing Number and Account Number) submitted to it, both during transmission and once such information are received. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while Eloan strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, Eloan cannot guarantee its absolute security. Eloan uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology supporting up to 128-bit encryption to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing any personal information transmitted to or from Eloan during your session. Eloan has also obtained a digital certificate from VeriSign for www.eloan.com and its subdomains.

We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our Web site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out. Note this does not opt you out of being served ads.
